Therapeutic Massage Therapist in Downtown Sarasota since 2010

Massage isn't just about relaxing for an hour.

The right approach can address the physical problems that keep you from feeling your best, moving comfortably, and enjoying your life. With 16 years of experience and advanced training, I tailor each session to your body, your concerns, and your goals.

Muscles and fascia connect the entire body.

When pain, persistent tightness, or restricted movement interferes with everyday life, therapeutic massage focuses on the connective tissues contributing to those problems. Rather than simply working over the body with a general routine, I use targeted advanced techniques, intuition and experience on hundreds of clients over the years to address the real problems that daily life brings to your body.

Clinical Massage: Looking Beyond the Obvious

Muscle pain isn't always the whole story. Fascia is the connective tissue network that surrounds muscles, supports organs, and links structures throughout the body and plays an important role in how we move and feel. Restrictions, adhesions, and scar tissue can affect mobility and create tension far beyond the original site of an injury. Clinical massage uses focused, specialized techniques to address these underlying soft-tissue issues, often in places people wouldn't automatically associate with massage.

  • Treatment may include work around the diaphragm and rib cage to ease tension that limits comfortable breathing,

  • targeted techniques for jaw tension and TMJ discomfort

  • work on the hands, wrists, feet, and toes to address restrictions associated with conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and hammertoes.

  • Massage can also address scar tissue and surrounding tissue restrictions following injuries or surgery, helping restore flexibility and comfortable movement.

The body is interconnected, and sometimes the key to moving more comfortably lies well beyond the spot that hurts.

Whether you're dealing with neck and back pain, tight shoulders, recurring muscle discomfort, or stiffness that makes daily activities more difficult, my services and treatment is shaped around what you're experiencing and where you need relief. The goal is to help you move more freely, feel more comfortable in your body, and get back to the activities you enjoy.

Sports Massage Therapist: Supporting Performance, Recovery, and Mobility

An active body has different demands. Running, golf, tennis, strength training, and other physical activities place repetitive stress on muscles and connective tissues. Over time, tightness and restricted mobility can affect comfort, movement, and performance.

Sports massage uses focused techniques to address the physical demands of training and activity. Sessions can be tailored to prepare for an event, work through accumulated muscle tension, support post-activity recovery, or maintain flexibility and mobility between workouts. My advanced training, including Graston Technique Level II, adds specialized options for addressing soft-tissue restrictions.

You don't have to be a competitive athlete to benefit. Whether you're training for a marathon, playing a weekly round of golf, staying active in retirement, or simply want your body to keep up with your life, sports massage is tailored to the way you move and the activities that matter to you.

A Focused, Individual Approach

Therapeutic and sports massage share many techniques, but the purpose behind each session matters. I draw on my experience and training to focus on your particular concerns rather than treating everyone the same way.

My practice is located in downtown Sarasota, where I provide personalized therapeutic and sports massage for people who want more than a routine massage.

If pain, muscle tension, or physical limitations are holding you back, let's work toward helping you feel better, move more freely, and enjoy life with fewer restrictions.

Graston Technique Level II Certification

GRASTON TECHNIQUE is an advanced therapy practiced primarily by physicians and physical therapists. I chose to pursue training in it because I wanted the ability to give more depth of relief. I am one of only four massage therapists with a Level II Certification in the state of Florida.

Graston uses specialized stainless-steel instruments to detect and treat soft-tissue restrictions, adhesions, and scar tissue. Unlike hands alone, the tools provide precise feedback through the tissue and allow focused pressure over specific areas, helping address stubborn restrictions that can limit flexibility and movement. Todd's Level II certification supports targeted treatment for athletic strain, repetitive stress, and sports-related recovery.
